Peverett was a founding member and mainstay of the legendary blues rock band FOGHAT. He was singer / Guitarist and key songwriter in the band penning [or co-writing] such rock classics as "Fool For The City", "Slow Ride", "Drivin Wheel", "Stone Blue", as well as numerous others.
In 1993 the original Foghat
reunited and released the excellent "Return Of The Boogie Men" album, which rates as
one of the best of the band's catalogue and featured the Peverett written favorite "Jump
That Train".
Although, Peverett and Foghat may not have gotten the praise they deserve in later years, and are remembered for a few classics that still receive regular air-play on FM radio, I'm sure many classic rock and blues rock fans will site Dave Peverett as a great underrated singer / songwriter / guitarist; and one of the classic rock n roll figures of his time.
