Greetings, and welcome to the 2nd installment of Universal Wheels!On-Line Universal Wheels has been hit by about 1500 visitors so far, while in print, myself, and fellow Heepsters Mac Steagall & Dave White have circulated about another 200! If you're getting this in printed version, but haven't seen the first edition, drop me a line, so I can get a copy out to you. If you're on-line and would like to print this out and drop if off at a local shop, just drop me a line to OK. If you've missed something in print, again, please drop me a line, and I'll forward you a copy of anything you missed. Canadian legendary rockers APRIL WINE will have a brand new CD out by April of '99. The album is to be titled "Deal With It", and features the single "Won't Walk That Road No More", which the band has been playing throughout '98, and have been selling at shows. Guitarist Brian Greenway says - "The Cd is almost completed other than the mixing. New time for release should be April '99. A good month for us! We still have a lot of negotiating with distribution to do yet and being on the road so much lately has slowed down production as you might guess." Deal With It will also include 2 tracks that were written by and feature Greenway on lead vocals, as well as 1 unknown (yet) cover. The band recently did a 6 week tour of the US and western Canada. Drummer Jerry Mercer is expected to return to action soon, after taking the tour off due to health reasons, while (ex Slick Toxic) Neal Busby filled in for him. The band is currently doing dates in Ontario and Quebec and are scheduled to play Kitchener - Ontario's well known "Lu-Lu's", on New Year's eve with Kim Mitchell as well! King Biscuit Flower Hour Records will also be releasing an April Wine set of 2 shows recorded on tour in the early '80s, sometime in the near future. For tour dates, discography, news, and more info on April Wine and related projects check out The Wine Cellar at > http://www.eburg.com/~cellar/ <
