Stem McGuinness

[Reformatted 5/03/03]

Hello, I'm Stem. I became a Heep fan on Dec.31, 1972. My 16th birthday. My brother offered me a choice of "Look At Yourself" or The Door's "L.A.Woman" lp's as a gift. I took LAY and the rest is history. It was sometime the following February that I was able to see Heep live for the first of a dozen times.

I am a Born-again Christian, and I thank God for the grace He bestows upon me. I don't deserve it, yet, in His mercy He loves me unconditionally, as He does us all. Being a believer makes me who and what I am. As a believer I am no better or worse than any other person. I am forgiven, that's all.

I've been married to Sharon since 1977 and we have 3 great kids. Two sons and one daughter. The boys are Sean and Scott, and our daughter is Kelly.

I love sports and since I live in Northeast Ohio, I am a BIG fan of the Cleveland Indians. I love football too and I am very happy with the fact that the Cleveland Browns are back and improving each year.I must add that I am also a huge fan of Ohio State Buckeyes football.

I joined the Heepsters on the Web mailing list in October of 1996 and was pleased to meet so many Heep fans. I was a heep orphan for years until discovering this 'family'.

In November of 1997 I opened my own machine shop. It is quite a load and often leaves me little time to pursue the fun things I enjoy, like playing guitar, golfing and reading.
