A Heep fan since my college days at Lipscomb University in the early and mid-seventies. First exposed to the music of Heep on WKDA-FM in Nashville back in 1972 when they began playing parts of "Demons and Wizard." Went with a buddy of mine when he bought "Magician's Birthday" at Woolworth's. We went back to his dorm room and listened to it. I remember not being particularly impressed, however, I later bought D & W, then went to see Heep at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium in September, 1973. Was totally hooked from that moment on.

My favorite Heep stuff is anything up through "Sweet Freedom." I also like other Heep albums of the Byron era. After Byron, my favorite Heep albums are "Firefly" and "Innocent Victim." I'll have to admit that the only Heep release that I own after "Conquest" is "Sea of Light," which I do like. I've repeated all this before, just putting it down here for the record and anyone who's interested.

The music of Uriah Heep has been an important part of my life. Much of their music has touched me deeply. Finding other Heepsters was a real blessing after years of wondering whatever happened to the band.
