Greetings fellow Heep fans!

I am Paul Kubler, I am born in October 1957, which makes me 41 years old at the time I'm writing this. I live in La Mesa, California which is a small town tucked into San Diego. I have lived in Southern California all my life. I am employed as a Vice President of a Debt Collection Agency which serves the USA and Canada. I am unmarried with no children. My hobbies include deep sea fishing, computing, sporting events, and of course Rock Music, especially Uriah Heep and Ken Hensley.

I discovered Uriah Heep in 1973 from a high school friend. During lunch we went to his car as there was something I "had to hear". He popped in an 8-track tape of Demons & Wizards, from the opening of "The Wizard" I was hooked, reeled in and caught. My friend informed me that there was more Heep out there, and as I could afford I purchased each previous LP and the subsequent LP's that were released. Each one blew me away, I loved them all.

I got on the internet in June, 1995, there were no Heep Web Sites then. I had ordered Hensley's solo stuff on CD but could not obtain them from where ever I ordered them January 1996, I typed in Ken Hensley and found a BBS discussion group in Germany talking about Uriah Heep and Hensley, encouraged I continued on a regular basis to search the net for additional information on Ken Hensley. I had assumed Heep was gone, one by one the members were changing and I finally lost interest, I had stopped buying Heep after Fallen Angel as Ken had left the band. I didn't even know about Conquest.

Then it happened, one day while playing on the internet I typed in "Ken Hensley" again and Rodrigo's "Proud Words Page" came up. I was completely amazed that someone out there had the same feelings I had towards Ken's music and there it was. Soon thereafter I discovered Hani's Uriah Heep Page, but had limited interest as again Heep was gone but Ken was still going to put out new material.

Then the miracle happened, HEEPVENTION in St. Louis, Ken might be there! I immediately signed up to attend and the rest is history. I discovered Heep and music again and the greatest people in the world, the Heepsters on the Web. After St. Louis I joined the Heep Mailing List. I am proud to be part of this great bunch of folks and have made some incredible friends. I purchased the Heep stuff that I didn't know existed and rediscovered what I thought was lost, REAL ROCK & ROLL.

A big thanks to all of you, my friends. Long live Uriah Heep and the Heepsters on the Web!!!

Paul Kubler
