I have been a fan of the band since '73 and still enjoy them immensely today. Even throughout the various changes, I've always felt that UH put out a great musical product. Granted not all of their creative work was great, but albums like Live '73, Sweet Freedom and Wonderworld still sound great today. While Acoustically Driven and Sonic Origami are constant visitors in my CD players.

I first saw Heep in '74 and it wasn't until July of 2001 that I saw them live again. It was quite the memorable event only to be topped by The Magician's Birthday Party in London this past December 2001.

Over the past three years, when I discovered the UH web site, the Heepnet, and of course the Caroline Heepsters, I have talked to via email or met at the shows many new friends - all with the same love of the music of Heep! It has also allowed me to meet my musical heros - Mick ,Lee last Summer and in London, finally Ken. I also have enjoyed meeting Bernie and Trevor on both occasions. So I can't wait until the next Heep event and of course hope there is a 2002 US tour!

I play in a band "The Famous Strangers" a couple times a month in the NJ/PA area at local clubs and restaurants. We play a wide range of music from the 60's through today - a little Heep, Allmans, ZZ Top, mixed in with Petty and even some Radiohead and Greenday mixed in - believe it or not. Hey whatever it takes to please the crowd and get them to buy us free drinks! I have an acoustic that used to belong to Ken that I play occasionally at extra special gigs.

My family lives in the South Jersey area, my wife, daughter and son, as well as our cat. The kids are off at college and nearly done! I look forward to meeting more of the Heepsters and when time permits even coming to a meeting. What's a FEW hours in the car!
