Hi. My name is Barry Hoffman and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, just outside of San Jose. I was born in 1963 and grew up around Philadelphia. After a 4 year stint in the Air Force (where I did a tour of Japan and then California) I decided to settle here. I've been divorced since 1993 and am a Christian. My hobbies are Music, weight lifting, reading, surfing the web, 49er's football.

I've loved rock since I was about 8 years old and am still waiting to outgrow it! My favorite bands are Uriah Heep, UFO, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Bad Company, Kiss, Iron Maiden, etc....well, you get the point. Though I knew of Uriah Heep growing up I never really heard anything by them, except maybe Easy Livin'. When I read that David Byron passed away in 1985 I figured I'd check Heep out. I picked up "Greatest Hits" and that was it. I was totally hooked and they have been my favorite band ever since. In my book David Byron is the best rock vocalist EVER. The combination of Byron, Hensley, and Box has to be the best rock has ever produced.

I've been on the Heepster list since December '99 and thoroughly enjoy it. It's nice knowing I'm not the only one who feels Uriah Heep is the best band ever.
