I've never had the priveledge of seeing Heep live, but I did meet Ken last year at the NAMM show. I introduced myself as "Byrd Wyatt, Promiseheeper" which pleased him very much and we had a nice conversation. With Joey, I've had the honor of playing shows with Wet Willie, Derek St. Holmes, the B52's and Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie and Randall Bramblett from Sea Level have played on our albums.
Hi there, I'm Byrd Wyatt and I've been on the Heepsters Mailing List for about three years now. Live '73 was one of the very first r&r records I ever got, and it remains one of my all-time favorites. I'm a professional musician-I work at a music store and play bass in two bands-Joey Stuckey, a blind singer/guitarist/songwriter and in Lighthouse, a Christian rock group. As it turns out my first and main instrument is guitar-I've been playing guitar for about 27 years-and yet for all that I tell folks that I got my first professional gig playing bass!
That's all I know to say for now-God bless us everyone!
