The Early Sessions
Volume Two

The second in the long awaited official releases of the Avenue Records recording sessions is finalized and made available.  After more than forty years we now have two official CDs.   The tracks were remastered and restored from the original 1" master tapes in 2011 and this is the second of a planned series.   Although these are just cover songs done in the studio from 1968 to 1970 these songs give a perspective look into the magic of David's voice.  This release is the second of what would be the last recordings of David to surface officially and yet they are from the very beginning.  As Colin Richardson wrote in the liner notes, "A mixture of rock ballads, pop classics and even a song banned from the airwaves in the UK by the BBC - that being the Max Romeo chart success of 1969 'Wet Dream'."

Recorded at London Studios and PYE Studios in London England

Initial release 1968 - 1970 by Avenue Records

Remastered and released June 22nd, 2012 by Artistry Records.
